Job Description: Senior Custom Software Engineer (Oracle Financials Lead)As a Senior Custom Software Engineer, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical anchor, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance software solutions. Your primary focus will be designing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle Financials applications to create bespoke ecosystems that drive organizational efficiency.In this role, you aren’t just writing code; you are architecting the financial backbone of the enterprise. You will lead cross-functional collaborations, mentor rising talent, and make critical technical decisions that influence the long-term scalability of our financial systems.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Team ManagementSubject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary authority on Oracle Financials, providing high-level technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed across the development lifecycle.Decision Ownership: Take accountability for team-level technical decisions and contribute to strategic roadmap discussions involving multiple departments.Mentorship: Actively facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and provide hands-on mentoring to junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.Solution Architecture & IntegrationCross-Team Collaboration: Engage with diverse stakeholders to translate intricate business workflows into functional, automated software components.Systems Integration: Design and oversee the seamless integration of Oracle Financials with existing enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and real-time synchronization.Complex Problem Solving: Identify, diagnose, and resolve /"blocker/" issues that impact the team or broader organizational workflows.Process OptimizationContinuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to audit existing development processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing automation or workflow enhancements to boost team productivity.Quality Assurance: Ensure that all custom configurations and developments meet rigorous performance standards and align with financial compliance requirements.Professional & Technical SkillsCore Oracle ExpertiseAdvanced Proficiency: Mastery of Oracle Financials (E-Business Suite or Cloud), including Modules such as General Ledger (GL), Payables (AP), Receivables (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA).Configuration & Design: Deep experience in the end-to-end design and configuration of financial applications to meet unique business logic.Technical ProficienciesIntegration Frameworks: Proven ability to connect Oracle Financials with external ERPs, CRMs, or legacy systems using standard APIs or middleware.Data Management: Strong expertise in database management and SQL/PL-SQL query optimization specifically tailored for large-scale financial datasets.Troubleshooting: Expert-level ability to perform root-cause analysis on complex application errors and performance lags.Qualifications & ExperienceYears of Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience working with Oracle Financials in a development or lead capacity.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who anticipates potential system conflicts before they arise and proposes preemptive solutions.
