Inventory Manager - Shrinkage Control

About the CompanyWe are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Inventory Manager / Senior Inventory Manager to manage inventory operations across retail stores. The role will focus on store inventory accuracy, shrinkage control, variance analysis, stock reconciliation, and audit compliance to ensure seamless retail operations and minimal inventory losses. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing store-level inventory controls, cycle counts, stock audits, and discrepancy resolution in a retail environment.About the RoleThe role will focus on store inventory accuracy, shrinkage control, variance analysis, stock reconciliation, and audit compliance to ensure seamless retail operations and minimal inventory losses.ResponsibilitiesStore Inventory Control & Accuracy Ensure high inventory accuracy across all retail storesMonitor daily stock movements including inward, outward, transfers, RTV, damages, and customer deliveriesConduct and govern daily inventory checks, weekly cycle counts, and monthly physical stock auditsEnsure proper stock handling and inventory discipline at store levelShrinkage Control & Loss Prevention Drive initiatives to reduce store-level shrinkage, pilferage, and inventory lossesIdentify gaps in store operations leading to stock variances and implement corrective actionsEnsure adherence to SOPs related to stock receiving, dispatch, storage, and billing processesConduct surprise audits and stock checks to maintain process complianceWork closely with store operations teams to strengthen accountability and inventory governanceVariance Analysis & Reconciliation Perform regular variance analysis between physical stock and system stockInvestigate stock mismatches, identify root causes, and ensure timely closure of discrepanciesManage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations across storesTrack and report inventory adjustments, stock aging, and damaged inventoryPublish MIS and variance reports for management reviewAudit & Compliance Lead store inventory audits and ensure audit readiness across locationsEnsure compliance with company inventory policies and operational controlsMaintain accurate documentation for stock movements and inventory adjustmentsCoordination & Process Improvement Coordinate with retail operations, warehouse, finance, and logistics teams for smooth inventory flowTrain store teams on inventory processes, shrinkage control, and audit practicesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen store inventory management systems
