Freelance Live Streaming & Broadcast Operations Specialist

Role OverviewYou will be responsible for executing and managing end-to-end live streaming workflows across digital platforms, ensuring seamless delivery, compliance with platform policies, and coordination with broadcast partners.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, configure, and operate live streaming workflows using vMix and similar production toolsManage multi-platform streaming across YouTube, Meta (Facebook), and other OTT/social platformsMonitor stream health in real time including bitrate, latency, and feed stabilityHandle live feed ingestion and distribution in coordination with broadcasters and production teamsImplement overlays, graphics, and real-time production elements during live streamsTroubleshoot technical issues instantly during live events to ensure uninterrupted streamingManage geo-targeting, content rights, and platform compliance (including YouTube Content ID and Meta rights management workflows)Coordinate with internal teams, commentators, and external broadcast partners for smooth executionRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience in live streaming, broadcast operations, or OTT delivery workflowsStrong hands-on expertise in vMix or similar software (OBS, Wirecast, etc.)Solid understanding of streaming protocols (RTMP, HLS, SRT) and encoding workflowsExperience streaming across major platforms like YouTube Live and Facebook LiveWorking knowledge of digital rights management, geo-blocking, and platform-level compliance toolsExperience collaborating with broadcasters, distribution partners, or live production teamsUnderstanding of video/audio signal flow, encoders, and live production environmentsPreferred BackgroundExperience working on live sports, especially cricket broadcastsExposure to OTT platforms, sports streaming, or large-scale live eventsWork ConditionsRemote role with shift-based schedulingFlexibility to work late hours / overnight shifts aligned with live eventsFast-paced, high-responsibility environment requiring quick decision-making during live broadcastsSoft SkillsStrong communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teamsAbility to perform under pressure in live environmentsHigh attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetIf you have experience in live streaming operations and understand both the technical and rights-management side of digital broadcasting, we would like to connect.Please share your profile, past work, and relevant experience.
