Experience the difference with Listenlights - your trusted MEP partner.Role Description :The COO – Data Centre - India will lead the entire project delivery organization, including Construction, Project Management, Engineering coordination, and the Project Controls vertical (Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control, and Governance).This role demands deep technical expertise (Electrical / Mechanical), strong commercial acumen, portfolio-level execution oversight, and the ability to build and scale a highly productive delivery organization.The COO will be fully accountable for delivery predictability, margin protection, client satisfaction, operational governance, and organizational capability building across all Data Centre projects.Key Responsibility Areas:1. End-to-End Delivery LeadershipOversee execution of multiple large-scale Data Centre projects across regions.Ensure on-time, within-budget, and quality-compliant delivery.Provide strategic direction across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning.Drive seamless bid-to-execution handover discipline.2. Lead Project Controls & GovernanceDirect the Project Controls vertical including Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Management.Institutionalize portfolio-level dashboards and performance analytics.Drive earned value management (EVM) and baseline integrity.Conduct monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews with CEO and leadership.3. Technical & Commercial StewardshipApply deep Electrical / Mechanical expertise to guide execution strategy.Ensure alignment between technical sequencing and commercial objectives.Safeguard project margins through disciplined cost control and claims management.Drive cash flow optimization and billing discipline.4. Operational Excellence & Process DisciplineEstablish standardized SOPs across all projects.Drive safety, quality, ESG, and compliance adherence.Implement digital enablement for planning, reporting, and cost tracking.Strengthen audit readiness and governance rigor.5. Customer-First OrientationServe as the senior operational face for key clients.Ensure transparent reporting and schedule credibility.Act as escalation authority for critical delivery issues.Strengthen repeat business through execution excellence.6. Leadership & Organizational CapabilityBuild and mentor a high-performance, multi-regional delivery team.Develop second-line leaders across Project Directors, Planning Heads, and Construction Leads.Drive productivity benchmarks and succession planning.Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.Must Have Requirements:1. Experience22–30+ years in EPC / MEP / Mission-Critical Infrastructure.10+ years in senior leadership roles managing large Data Centre or equivalent infrastructure portfolios.Experience leading multi-project, multi-location delivery organizations.2. Technical & Commercial StrengthDeep technical grounding in Electrical or Mechanical systems (mandatory).Strong contract management, risk mitigation, and commercial negotiation capability.Proven experience in portfolio-level P&L oversight and margin protection.3. Leadership CompetenciesAbility to build and scale a highly productive organization.Strong governance-driven and process-oriented mindset.Data-driven decision-making capability.High emotional intelligence with strong stakeholder management skills.Customer-first philosophy aligned with mission-critical delivery standards.4.
