The role requires sustained student mentorship, academic discipline, and measurable contributions to institutional growth.Qualifying Criteria – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:a. A Master ‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.b. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.OR,A candidate has been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.c. Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journalsd. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:i) Ph.D. preferred with entry-level of 2 years’ experience is desirable but not mandatory.ii) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on her/his Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.iii) The candidate has 3 to 5 years of industry experience in filmmaking/ media production.Other published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and a patent filed.Compensation follows UGC norms; for candidates with strong research potential, teaching excellence, or industry exposure, remuneration will be aligned competitively.
