Equity Dealer

Primary Job Responsibilities1. Equity Dealing & Order ExecutionExecute equity and derivatives trades accurately on behalf of clients, in line with regulatory guidelines.Ensure timely, error-free order placement using approved trading platforms.Monitor live market movements and provide real-time updates to clients to support informed trading decisions.2. Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with retail and HNI clients.Understand clients’ investment objectives, risk appetite, and financial goals to offer customized trading solutions.Address client queries related to portfolio performance, account statements, and trading-related concerns.3. Advisory SupportProvide market insights, investment ideas, and trading strategies to clients.Recommend suitable financial products and portfolio rebalancing based on market trends and client requirements.Support clients in risk management through diversification and hedging strategies.4. Revenue GenerationAchieve individual and branch-level revenue targets through brokerage and advisory services.Focus on cross-selling and upselling equity and allied products such as mutual funds, insurance, and other investment instruments.5. Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure all transactions comply with regulatory norms (SEBI, NSE, BSE, etc.).Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and trade orders for audit and compliance purposes.Monitor client trading activities to manage risks such as margin shortfalls or excessive speculative exposure.6. Market MonitoringStay updated on market trends, economic developments, and corporate actions impacting equity markets.Analyze market news and events and share relevant, actionable insights with clients.Academic RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.NISM Series VIII certification (mandatory).Key CompetenciesStrong customer focus with a consultative sales approach.Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.High attention to detail with the ability to perform under pressure.Proactive in identifying client needs and market opportunities.Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of equity markets and trading platforms (e.g., NSE NOW, ODIN, or similar).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other trading-related tools.
