Human Resources Manager - Shipping/ Maritime

Title: HR ManagerLocation: Andheri, Mumbai, IndiaEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience Required: 8–12 years in HR, preferably in maritime, shipping, or international HR operations.Role Overview:We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Manager to be based in a leading shipping company in Mumbai and work closely with the overseas HR and leadership team. This role will support the HR operations including recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, and coordination of HR processes across borders.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary HR liaison in India for a leading shipping company.Support end-to-end recruitment for overseas roles, including coordination with agencies and internal stakeholders.Assist in onboarding, documentation, and induction of international hires.Coordinate with overseas HR for payroll, benefits, and compliance-related matters.Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely reporting to the office.Support performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.Ensure compliance with employment laws and group policies.Facilitate cross-border communication and cultural alignment between India and overseas teams.Provide administrative and operational HR support as required by the entity.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.8–12 years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational or maritime/shipping environment.Familiarity with Indian labour laws and HR practices is a strong advantage.Excellent communication and coordination skills across geographies.High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.Proficiency in HRIS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.What We Offer:Opportunity to work with a global maritime leader.Exposure to international HR practices and cross-border collaboration.Competitive compensation and benefits.A dynamic and inclusive work environment.
