Designation: Plant Commercial OfficerLocation - lower ParelQualification : Chartered AccountantROLE PURPOSE:The Plant Commercial Officer will support the Plant in taking business decision, meeting various statutory compliances and reporting requirements, maintaining financial controls.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:−Ensuring MIS reporting at month end covering various activities−Analysis of the account ledgers and processing / review of various period end journals−Budgetary Controls and Developing of Costing / Pricing and variance analysis−Forecasting of cash flows and handling fund management−Liaison with bankers for operational requirements−Implementing accounting policies, monitoring the accounting practices and compliance of GAAP−Assisting in preparation of financial statements and Statutory Audit / Tax Audit−Handling Compliances of Indirect taxes (Excise, Service Tax, VAT/Sales Tax, WCT, Customs, Local Levies) - Filing returns, maintaining records, Availment / utilisation of credits , Audits / Assessments, Appeals etc.−Financial concurrence in purchase / marketing decisions−Maintaining internal control systems as well as cost control measures−Working capital management – inventory control and quantitative analysis−Account receivables management and credit control−Accounts Payable Management, Disbursements and compliances with TDS−Supervising billing to customers, accounting of cash and inventory transactions−Commercial matters of Channel partners like depots etc.Technology−Encourage higher level of IT enablement in the function.−Inputs for designing / enhancing various controls / functions in SAP
