Logistics Supervisor

Position Title: Logistics SupervisorDepartment: Supply Chain / LogisticsReports To: Supply Chain Head / SCM ManagerLocation: Navi MumbaiRole Summary:The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning and executing the transportation, shipping, and distribution of equipment and materials for Oil & Gas drilling, exploration, and project sites. This role ensures efficient and compliant movement of ODC and hazardous cargo, optimizing timelines and costs across domestic and international routes.Key Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments (domestic & international).Plan and monitor ODC/heavy-lift cargo movement, ensuring compliance with DG Shipping, Port, and Customs regulations.Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and warehouses for timely delivery and documentation.Ensure EC documentation, customs clearance, and port coordination for imports/exports.Oversee project logistics planning, route surveys, and vendor negotiations for heavy equipment transport.Monitor freight rates, assess transport vendor performance, and ensure safety standards are met.Maintain strong relationships with government authorities and logistics partners.Supervise logistics documentation – shipping bills, airway bills, invoices, packing lists, etc.Implement cost control and efficiency initiatives through freight consolidation and optimized routing.Manage a logistics operations team, ensuring adherence to corporate safety and compliance standards.Qualification & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering (MBA preferred).8–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas / EPC logistics, including ODC & international cargo handling.Knowledge of EC documentation, DG Shipping, and Customs procedures is mandatory.Proficiency in SAP Logistics Module, MS Office, and shipment tracking tools.Excellent communication and vendor management skills.Core Competencies:Domestic & International LogisticsODC / Heavy-Lift Cargo HandlingCustoms, EC & DG Shipping ComplianceFreight Negotiation & Cost OptimizationVendor & Stakeholder CoordinationRisk & Safety ManagementPay Band: 15–18 LPA
