About Marketing & Communication Aligned with the guidelines shared by BDO Global, our team of Marketing and Communication executives work together to enhance the brand value of BDO India. We work together with service line teams, to take to market new offerings through innovative and engaging campaigns and from a corporate perspective remain a custodian of the brand and strategise to enhance its visibility. Leveraging new techniques of marketing and communications, our team works across diverse avenues including design, digital, events, PR, content and communications.Roles & ResponsibilitiesStrategic Communication Management: Work with leadership, marketing, and business teams to identify communication priorities and shape key narratives.Internal Communication : Develop communication programs across levels to strengthen employee engagement. Craft clear and impactful messaging for leadership comms and clearly express POVs through engaging formats. Develop messaging frameworks that foster transparency, culture, and organisational alignment.External communications Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support business objectives and brand positioning. Support proactive reputation management through transparent and timely external communication across formats, including press releases, executive communications, and announcements. Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to manage and mitigate reputational risks effectively. Assist in developing content responses and holding statements during issues or crises. Monitor and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of messaging strategies and make data-driven adjustments as necessary. Develop media outreach plans, press releases, media kits, and briefing materials for interviews and announcementsSocial Media Engagement and Campaigning: Adept with social media platforms for understanding trends and ideating on new social media campaigns, to enhance engagement. Drive social media engagement and community growth through compelling content, interactive campaigns, and strategic audience targeting. Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to participate in relevant discussions and amplify brand messaging.Online Reputation Management Develop and implement a content strategy that supports online reputation objectives and strengthens positive brand sentiment. Work closely with PR, and digital marketing teams to align ORM messaging with larger brand campaigns. Ensure all ORM-related communication adheres to legal, compliance, and brand guidelines. Support escalation responses with clear, concise, and brand-safe messaging during sensitive discussions or reputational issues.Campaign Conceptualisation and Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of comms campaigns to ensure consistency in messaging, aligned campaigns for firm-wide initiatives, internal launches, etc. Maintain a comms calendar to strategise rollouts and ensure effective campaigns. Monitor campaign performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and optimise strategies for maximum impact.Content Editing and Enhancement: Manage comprehensive content audits with the team to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimisation. Oversee and guide the team on content alignment for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and editorial standards. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to content creators to elevate the quality and effectiveness of work.Content Creation: Develop comprehensive content strategies aligned with organisational goals and target audience preferences. Support content team with creative copies for advertisements, brand stories, positioning opportunities, etc. Generate engaging communications that resonate with the target audience across formats. Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience demographics to aid content developmentAdaptability in High-Pressure Environments: Thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines. Remain agile and flexible in responding to evolving business priorities, industry trends, and feedback. Demonstrate resilience and composure under pressure, problem-solving effectively and maintaining a positive attitude in challenging situations. Being accessible and available during critical situations or time-sensitive communication needs that may arise outside regular business hours.Project Management Hands-on in leading projects with business teams, providing support from content as well as an overall marketing perspective. Ability to manage and execute end-to-end campaigns independently with business, corporate and leadership teams, including comms campaigns, CSR campaigns, firm-wide milestone campaigns, etc.Qualifications Masters degree in English, Literature, Business Administration, Communications, Mass Media, Marketing, or a related field from a recognised institution. 13–15 years of experience in corporate communications, strategic communications, reputation management, or related areas. Proven experience in managing internal and external communication strategies for large organisations. Strong expertise in content strategy, storytelling, editing, and message development across formats. Experience in media relations, including drafting press releases, media kits, leadership communications, and briefing documents. Demonstrated capability in crisis communication, reputation management, and escalated stakeholder handling. Solid understanding of digital communication trends, social media ecosystems, and online reputation management. Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive firm-wide communication initiatives. Excellent command over written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail, tone, and brand alignment. Strong organisational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
