Flavor & Format Innovation Specialist (Herbal Foods & Beverages)

We’re looking for a hands-on Flavor & Application Specialist who can turn our high performance bitter botanicals into delicious, food-like formats that people love.This is a full-time opportunity at our fully equipped, chemical R&D lab in Dadar, Mumbai.✅ What You Will Do- Reduce bitterness in products like ColCalm, Kalmegh Bitters, TumGard - Create on-the-go formats: mini shots, sachets, teas, chewables, snackables - Prototype weekly in our pilot kitchen — taste, tweak, iterate fast - Build 2–3 flavour variants with real food ingredients - Improve mouthfeel & aftertaste without adding artificial junk - Maintain formula efficacy while enhancing enjoyment✅ You’re a Great Fit If You Have- Worked with strong, bitter botanicals or harsh extracts - Turned bad-tasting ingredients into market-ready beverages or shots - Know how to mask bitterness without just adding sugar - LOVE to prototype — not just write formulations or reports - Enjoy the challenge of making healthy taste addictive - A palate aligned with Indian consumers❌ Who This Role Is NOT For- ❌ Lab researchers who only write PDFs and reports - ❌ Nutritionists or Ayurveda experts without flavour application experience - ❌ Pilot-scale scientists who don’t enjoy hands-on kitchen work - ❌ People who insist bitterness “cannot be masked” - ❌ Those who want to add artificial sweeteners or synthetic flavours - ❌ Candidates who have only worked on powders, tablets, or capsules - ❌ Anyone who talks theory but can’t deliver great-tasting prototypes - ❌ People who cannot build flavour without relying on sugar✅ Experience That Matters- 4–10 years in flavour houses, beverage development, kombucha, functional drinks, sports nutrition, or herbal shots - Background in creating real food or beverage formats, not pharma - Comfortable with spices, acids, natural sweetness, mouthfeel✅ Why This Role Is SpecialYou will transform powerful herbal formulas into food-like products people crave.No PowerPoints — real products, real tastings, real impact.✅ How to ApplySend your CV + examples of products you’ve worked on to harsh.doshi@
