The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, vendor management expertise, and a proven track record in cost optimization and procurement operations.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the procurement and supply chain operations independently. - Source and procure materials such as sheets, rods, pipes, structural steel, castings, and structural sheets. - Interpret engineering drawings and designs to understand material specifications and requirements. - Conduct vendor scouting and negotiations to ensure best pricing, quality, and lead times. - Identify and implement cost reduction strategies across the procurement cycle. Maintain a strong understanding of the metal market trends and pricing. - Manage job work processes such as laser cutting, bending, machining, CED coating, galvanizing, etc. - Oversee and streamline end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement planning, logistics, and inventory management. - prepare and maintain MIS reports related to procurement and supply chain performance. - Foster strong vendor relationships and evaluate vendor performance regularly. Lead and develop a team of purchase and supply chain executives. Travel as needed to source materials and inspect vendors/suppliers. - Coordinate closely with production, design, and finance teams to align procurement with project needs. - Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.Skills & Competencies:- Strong technical knowledge of engineering materials and processes Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Strong vendor management and market analysis skills - Leadership ability with team-handling experience - Willingness to travel for sourcing - Proficient in MIS reporting and procurement systems
