We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team at Muchhala Family. As a Research Analyst at our company, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing market information and reading on listed companies. You will need to be able to work independently discover, study & track good investment ideas.The role demands that you are self-motivated, curious and are able to work as per your hours.The role is more of a generalist than a rigorous ‘financial analyst’.You will be required to use chatgpt to do your analysis.This is a remote role.LocationRemote. Work from your home.What is expected from you- A minimum of 2 years in any form of fundamental analysis of companies - A grounding in value investing / Buffett school of investing is preferred - Ability to understand 10 years of financial statements - A strong interest and ability to analyse and value listed companies - Monitor news flow and compile valuable industry information - Ability to analyse financial information of companies such as cash flow statement, notes to accounts, etc - Ability to sift through pages of literature on companies and come to certain conclusions or opinions - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, - Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a simple language - Ability to work independently - you will work alone and hence, the role is suited for people who love working alone. Dont expect any teamwork. - Communicate investment ideas to the investment teamWhat you can expect- Guidance on our core investing values - Complete freedom to figure out your own working hours, and to flow in whatever direction your work takes you.Professional Achievements- Educational credentials which give you the skills required to perform the role like CA, CFA (US), MBA (Finance) are preferred. Undergraduates are also welcome with relevant work experience.Work Experience- Minimum Work Experience of 2 Years preferredShare your thought process- Along with the application, please provide a 1-2 page analysis of any business of your choice. - The intention is to understand your ability to study, understand & communicate the investment idea. - In addition, please provide a 1-2 page business analysis of a company you believe is potentially a fraud / rigged.Other important points to note- You will be free to take your own personal decisions for personal investing.Compensation- To begin with, please expect a CTC of 8 lakhs p.a. If things go well, we can take it up - A larger part of the compensation will be your complete freedom in timings, work days, vacations as long as you do an honest job at your work, and deliver quality work.
