About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Compliance & Assurance Officer with 5–6 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the banking, NBFC, or insurance sectors. The candidate will support the Business unit Compliance team in implementing regulatory requirements, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining internal policies and procedures. The role will report into the Business Unit Head- Compliance at IndusInd and will interface with stakeholders from legal, risk teams, product teams, other business teams and mid-level management to build compliance policies and implement procedures. As such, the role demands that you are a professional of high ethical standards with prior regulatory compliance experience and are able to work diligently to complete your duties either independently or otherwise, keeping in mind the objectives of IndusInd. You must be comfortable communicating with various stakeholders to deliver compliance objectives and be result-oriented to ensure that your requirements are delivered on time. The mission would be to ideate and implement industry defining compliance standards and practices at IndusInd. Key Responsibilities: Assist in identifying compliance risks and support mitigation efforts in collaboration with business teams. Help track regulatory changes and support impact analysis and implementation across relevant departments. Participate in periodic reviews of processes to assess compliance status and suggest improvements. Support product teams in ensuring regulatory compliance during product development and launch. Assist in conducting compliance self-assessments and risk assessments under guidance. Help maintain and update compliance-related policies and SOPs. Represent the Business Unit compliance team in internal meetings and support documentation for external forums. Support compliance checks related to underwriting, issuance, and intermediary documentation. Help reconcile compliance data and maintain audit trails for compliance processes. Participate in technical audits and support audit documentation and responses. Understand the various data definitions and terminologies and educate the stakeholders such as DB and Tech, as required. Contribute to periodic and ad-hoc reporting for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. Learn and understand business processes and IT systems relevant to compliance operations. Ideal Candidate Profile: 5–6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks. Willingness to learn and grow within a structured compliance environment. Ethical mindset and attention to detail.
