Job Role- Assistant Analyst - Health and Safety (70613) Job Location- Mumbai Work Experience- 4 to 6 Years Candidate must have corporate experience The H&S Consultant will report to the India Head of H&S and will be responsible for the implementation of Health & Safety practices, policies and procedures within the Mumbai office location relative to people, projects, and premises. Responsibilities for Internal Candidates Delivering Welcome induction to new employees. Providing general support and assistance to the Head of H&S/H&S Advisor. Assisting & carrying out all occupational Health & Safety duties under the guidance of the Head of H&S Maintaining and coordinating in various training programs and follow up any actions required. Reviewing and maintaining the First Aid kit provision at all WSP India offices. Updating and issuance of Travel Consultant i.e to all expats travelling to India. Handling the H&S Intranet page and H&S server, maintaining all documentation. Perceiving issues raised by employees on iSMS, communicating with them, understanding the concern and coordinating with P&A and IT teams to get it reviewed and resolved. Assist in internal /external audits Coordinate the local implementation of the India H&S strategy, H&S Management System in line with ISO 45001 and the Global Expectations for Managing Health & Safety. Coordinate as directed by the head of H&s/H&S Advisor collaboratively with the internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the Health & Safety Management System is effectively implemented locally. Assist in assessing the H&S training needs, plan & organize the necessary H&S training programs to cover the employees based in WSP India office. Assist in Monitoring the H&S performance periodically and communicate to the Head of H&S. Ensure emergency preparedness and response planning is up-to-date for the local emergencies and the arrangements for the expats and international travelers. Support the internal teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation pertaining to health & safety. Maintain our internal iSMS (Integrated Safety Management System – an online tool) for the incidents and observations statistics and other H&S related activities. Ensure that the near misses and incidents are investigated and the findings and root causes are addressed appropriately to prevent recurrence and the key learnings are shared business-wide. Assist in Performing Premises Risk Assessment and Premise Compliance Inspections at the defined frequency or as and when needed. Support the business in local H&S related procurements to facilitate better execution of the H&S requirements within the business. Ensure adequate information, advisories and notices on H&S matters are communicated to the local relevant groups on time through various means of communications. Support the Head of H&S in implementing relevant occupational health & well-being programs in Bangalore . Support the Head of H&S in all H&S promotional activities and campaigns within the Bangalore office. Support the Head of H&S in executing H&S Projects to cater to the lead region requirements. Qualifications:- Engineering Graduate, NEBOSH / Diploma Safety Occupational Health & Safety Management in an office environment, H&S Management System (OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001) implementation, Basic knowledge on H&S Risk Assessments, Conducting H&S Inspections, Conducting H&S Training, Coordinating with number of stakeholders Good written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MS office tools Internal Auditor for ISO 45001.
