Head of Product (Travel Insurance)

Job Title: Product Head – Travel Insurance Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai Experience Required: 3-10 years in Insurance Product Management (Travel or Health Insurance domain) Overview: We are looking for an experienced and innovative Product Head to lead the product strategy, development, and growth for our travel insurance business. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in InsurTech, with proven expertise in building and scaling products in the travel or health insurance domain. This is a leadership role with high visibility and impact, requiring strategic thinking, customer-first mindset, and a deep understanding of insurance technology and regulatory landscapes. Key Responsibilities Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the travel insurance portfolio. Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management – from ideation, market research, design, development, and launch, to ongoing optimization. Partner with cross-functional teams (underwriting, claims, operations, sales, technology, marketing, compliance) to deliver innovative and customer-centric insurance solutions. Track market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks. Develop and own KPIs for product performance, adoption, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Champion digital-first solutions that simplify customer journeys, improve claims experiences, and enhance engagement. Mentor and guide a team of product managers/associates. Qualifications & Skills 3-10 years of product management experience in InsurTech, with significant exposure to travel or health insurance products. Strong understanding of insurance processes, regulatory requirements, and digital distribution models. Proven success in conceptualizing, launching, and scaling insurance products. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Strong leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience in working with technology teams to deliver scalable digital solutions. MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred.
