Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior RF & Microwave Technician with 10+ years of hands-on experience in RF and microwave module assembly, integration, soldering, and testing for defence and radar systems. The role requires expertise in MMIC assembly, high-frequency modules up to 40 GHz, clean-room operations, and defence-quality manufacturing standards.Key Responsibilities- Perform assembly, integration, and rework of RF & microwave modules (0.5–40 GHz) - Execute MMIC chip assembly and wire bonding - Mount active and passive RF components on RT/Duroid, FR4, and Alumina substrates - Attach 30 mil, 20 mil, 10 mil, and 5 mil substrate cards to carrier plates and housings - Precision soldering of single-layer and multilayer RF & digital PCBs - Assemble and rework QFN, MLF, QFPN, MMICs, and SMD IC packages - Perform module-level integration, wiring, and interconnections - Carry out EMI/EMC cable assembly and circular connector assembly using DMC tool kits - Operate reflow / flow ovens for PCB soldering - Apply conductive and non-conductive epoxies (Silver epoxy H20E, epoxy H74) - Support FPGA and FR4 board assembly for R&D activities - Conduct testing support, inspection, and production documentation - Follow clean-room procedures and defence-quality standards - Read and interpret schematics, layouts, and assembly drawings - Assist in quality control and production planning activitiesProjects & Systems Handled- Switch Filter Banks (2.0–6.0 GHz) - Front-End Amplifiers & Receivers (0.5–40 GHz) - DIFM (2–18 GHz) - Miniature RF Units (0.5–18 GHz) - RF Bit Distribution Units - MCPCS - Dual Channel Receivers (18–40 GHz) - RF Conditioning Units - Up / Down Converters - Quad Channelized Receivers - VHF Radar Modules - Man-Portable Drone Jammer Gun Systems - Defence programs with DLRL, BEL, LRDE, DARE, ECIL, CABS, ELSECEquipment & Tools Handled- Spectrum Analyzers (2 Hz – 44 GHz) - Signal Generators (100 kHz – 40 GHz) - Vector Network Analyzers (Agilent & R&S – up to 40 GHz) - Scalar Network Analyzers - Electronic Loads for EPC / Power Supply testing - Agilent Current Probes - R&S and Keysight ATE systemsKey Skills & Abilities- RF & Microwave module assembly and integration - MMIC handling, wire bonding, and precision soldering - Testing of T/R modules, LNAs, PAs, filters, switches, attenuators, phase shifters - Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills - High attention to quality and workmanship - Good communication skills and team collaboration - Experience in defence production environmentsEducational Qualification- Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – SBTET - ITI (NCVT) – Electronics / MechanicalExperience Required- 10+ years of relevant experience as RF / Microwave Technician - Defence, radar, EW, or aerospace project exposure preferred
