Lead - Electrical Designer

EVIO Private Limited is looking for a highly experienced Electrical Designing Lead to lead, control, and optimize all electrical design activities across our turnkey projects. The role demands strong technical authority, team leadership, and close coordination with execution, estimation, procurement, and clients to ensure error-free, cost-effective, and code-compliant designs. Title:- Lead - Electrical DesignerIndustry: Electrical Turnkey Projects (Industrial, Commercial, Infrastructure)Work Location: Mumbai – Head OfficeReporting To: CEO / Top ManagementTravel: Site visits and client office visits as per project requirement.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership & ManagementHead and manage the complete Electrical Design function for all projects.Review, approve, and freeze electrical design deliverables including:Load calculations & demand assessmentSingle Line Diagrams (SLD)Power distribution layoutsLighting layouts & lux calculationsEarthing & lightning protection systemsCable sizing, voltage drop & short circuit calculationsPanel GA drawings & schematicsEnsure compliance with IS, NBC, IEC, IEEE, local authority & client standards.Project CoordinationWork closely with Project Execution, Planning, Estimation, Procurement, and QA/QC teams.Provide design clarifications and solutions during execution stages.Attend client meetings, design review meetings, and coordination meetings as required.Support site teams during execution, commissioning, and testing phases.Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical design engineers & draftsmen.Allocate design tasks, monitor timelines, and ensure on-time submissions.Implement design SOPs, checklists, and standard templates.Value Engineering & OptimizationCarry out value engineering to optimize cost without compromising safety or quality.Support estimation team during tender stage with design inputs and BOQs.Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for technical selections.Quality & Risk ControlEnsure zero-error design deliverables to avoid site rework and commercial loss.Conduct periodic design audits and lessons-learned reviews.Maintain proper documentation, revisions, and approval records.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong command over Electrical Power Systems design.Proficient in AutoCAD and design calculation software.Sound knowledge of LT/HT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, panels, cable management systems.Ability to lead multi-project design teams under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and client-handling skills.Experience & QualificationExperience: 15 to 20 years in Electrical Design within Electrical Turnkey / EPC companies.Education: BE / BTech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.Prior experience as Design Manager / Design Lead / Design Head preferred.Exposure to Industrial, Commercial, IT Parks, Data Centres, Infrastructure projects is mandatory.
