Motion Designer

Company: MavenArk

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:

Motion Designer, Product — Mavenark Technologies Full-Time · Design Team · 2–4 Years Experience  At Mavenark, we build digital financial products designed around a simple belief: finance is fundamentally human. Every decision, every number, every moment of friction or delight reflects real people navigating real stakes. Motion is central to how we make that experience feel intuitive and alive — not as a finishing layer, but as a design discipline embedded in how we build. We're looking for a Motion Designer to join our product team. You'll craft UI interactions that communicate meaning, animate data that guides attention, and bring character and personality into a space that rarely gets either.  What You'll Work On > UI Micro-Interactions & Transitions (Primary Focus) You'll design the motion fabric of our product — confirmations, error states, loading flows, screen transitions, and the gamified moments (achievements, milestones, rewards) that make engaging with finances feel genuinely satisfying. Every interaction should feel intentional, never decorative. > Data Visualization Motion Our product is data-dense. You'll animate charts, dashboards, and live metrics in ways that aid comprehension and guide attention — knowing when motion clarifies and when restraint is the smarter call. > Character & Expressive Animation You'll bring personality to our mascots and in-product guides — defining idle states, reactions, and transition behaviors that feel warm and contextually appropriate for a financial product.  What We're Looking For Required: → 2–4 years of motion design experience in digital product or interactive media → Portfolio demonstrating shipped UI animation — transitions, micro-interactions, feedback states → Advanced After Effects proficiency with Lottie/Bodymovin workflow → Working knowledge of Rive, including state machines → Strong animation fundamentals: timing, easing, anticipation, follow-through → Figma proficiency and the ability to write motion specs engineers can implement Preferred: → Experience designing motion for data-heavy interfaces → Familiarity with UX principles and motion's role in usability → Understanding of React / React Native animation constraints → Background in character or expressive animation Nice to Have: → Experience contributing to a motion design system or component library → Exposure to Spline, GSAP, or WebGL → Basic front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS) as it relates to animation performance  Portfolio Note We want to see work that shipped. Show us UI animation in a real product context — at least one example of motion that solved a UX problem, not just one that looked good. NDA-covered work is fine; describe your role and the problem you were solving.  What You'll Get → Ownership over Mavenark's motion experience across product → A design team that treats motion as a first-class discipline → Direct collaboration with designers and engineers who care about implementation quality → Room to experiment, build reusable systems, and grow with the product → Competitive compensation and benefits
