Assistant Manager - Design

Venti Oelde India Private Limitedis seeking a qualified and technically proficient Assistant Manager – Design to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical design, a deep understanding of rotating equipment (preferably industrial fans and blowers), and hands-on experience in managing customized projects. This role position involves detailed design and engineering, client coordination, and coordination with manufacturing unit and project team.Employment Type Full-time (6-month probation period followed by permanent placement)Qualification Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Experience 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design and project management, preferably in capital equipment or industrial machinery manufacturing.Compensation offered As per industry standardsResponsibilities Allocate jobs to design engineers. Decide construction details or check construction details prepared by others. Check/ Prepare drawings in 2D and 3D, detailed drawings, and BOMs for centrifugal fans, blowers, and related equipment using SIEMENS NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Interpret project specifications, technical data sheets, and customer requirements. Coordinate with internal departments (sales, proposals, production, and service) to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Engage with clients, consultants, and EPCs for design approvals, layout reviews, and technical clarifications. Manage project timelines, documentation, and delivery schedules across design and execution stages in close coordination with the customer. Perform mechanical calculations related to fan design. Track project milestones till engineering stage and provide regular updates to management and customers for allocated projects. Ensure strict compliance with engineering standards, customer requirements, internal standards and company policies.Qualifications Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage a team of engineers efficiently. Strong understanding of rotating equipment such as centrifugal and axial fans, dampers, silencers, etc. Proficiency in CAD tools (preferably SIEMENS NX, SolidWorks and AutoCAD). Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO, AMCA, DIN. Familiarity with manufacturing processes for metal fabrication. Sound understanding of material selection, fabrication practices, and dynamic component behaviour. Exposure to project management tools and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of client interaction and document preparation. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project priorities effectively. Willingness to travel occasionally to vendor locations or project sites within country/ abroad.Career Path Candidates who demonstrate strong team building capabilities, technical ownership, reliability, and alignment with organizational values during the probation period may be offered a permanent role based on management review after 6 months.
