Job Type: Full Time
Job Description:
Location: Andheri West Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 Experience: 3-4 years *** Applications must include a portfolio link; profiles without one will be declined.*** 1) About the Company Bombay Ad Cartel (BAC) is a Mumbai-born, full-stack creative & digital agency where timeless brand craft meets modern media hustle. We build identities, campaigns, packaging, content, and websites for brands that want both legacy and likes. If you respect kerning as much as KPIs—and can swap Pantone chips as smoothly as you swap artboards—you’ll fit right in. 2) About the Role We’re hiring a Senior Graphic & Web Designer (3–4 years) to be our go-to visual problem solver with a graphic-first mindset. 70% of your week will live in brand systems, campaigns, packaging, print/OOH, and social design. 30% will be web/UI: clean, conversion-friendly landing pages, component-based layouts, and tidy handoffs. You’ll guide junior designers, collaborate with copy/strategy/dev, and present polished work with clear rationale. Old-school fundamentals, new-age pace. 3) Key Responsibilities a) Graphic Design (≈70%) Brand Systems & Identity: Develop logos, visual languages, typography stacks, color systems, iconography, and brand guidelines. Campaign & Content: Craft multi-channel campaign assets (social, OOH, print, digital banners, email headers) with sharp visual hierarchy and on-brand storytelling. Packaging & Retail: Create packaging concepts, dielines, label systems, POSM/merch, and shelf-presence mockups; prep production-ready files. Decks & Presentations: Build client-ready pitch decks and case studies that look as good as they read. Art Direction: Plan and oversee shoots (photo/video), moodboards, styling cues, and reference decks; collaborate with photographers/retouchers. Production & Prepress: Ensure color accuracy, print specs, bleed, overprint, and imposition are on point; coordinate with vendors for proofing. b) Web/UI (≈30%) Responsive Layouts: Design landing pages and lightweight sites in Figma with components/auto-layout, clear grids, and mobile-first thinking. Handoffs & QA: Prepare redlines/specs, export assets, work with dev on feasibility, review staging links, and log fixes. Performance Creatives: Translate campaign ideas into high-performing web banners and conversion-friendly page sections (hero, pricing, FAQs, CTAs). c) Team & Process Mentorship: Review junior work, share standards, and champion file hygiene (naming, versioning, libraries). Presentation: Sell the work—clearly explain choices, cite references, and tie design to outcomes. Iteration: Incorporate feedback and data without losing craft (taste + testing, not taste vs. testing). 4) Required Qualifications 3–4 years in an agency or fast-paced in-house team with a portfolio spanning brand, campaign, packaging, print, and social (web work showcased too). Strong command of Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop; InDesign for long-form/print) and Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping basics). Proven experience preparing print-ready files: color management, bleeds, dielines, emboss/foil/spot UV specs. Solid grasp of typography, layout, composition, and color theory—the classics. Working knowledge of web basics (responsive principles, asset optimization, HTML/CSS constraints). Clear communication and client-facing presentation skills. 5) Preferred Qualifications Motion basics (After Effects/Lottie) for snappy social loops or micro-interactions. Illustration/iconography chops; light 3D familiarity (Blender/C4D) is a plus. Experience with e-commerce creatives (A+ content, Amazon/Flipkart assets) and performance-driven design. Familiarity with CMS workflows (Webflow/WordPress) and SEO-aware layout thinking. Comfort with A/B testing and reading basic analytics to iterate intelligently. Tools we like: Notion/Asana for workflow, Miro for collaboration, mockup generators for speed. 6) Key Skills Design Fundamentals: Type pairing, rhythm, spacing, grids—measure twice, publish once. Brand & Systems Thinking: Build scalable guidelines that survive real-world marketing. Campaign Visualization: Turn a single idea into a cohesive, multi-format visual story. Packaging & Print Craft: From concept to press pass without surprises. Speed with Standards: Ship fast, stay consistent; tidy files, tidy mind. Web/UI Literacy: Clean, component-driven layouts and respectful dev handoffs. Art Direction & Collaboration: Work smoothly with copy, strategy, performance, dev, and vendors. Feedback Fitness: Give/receive critique like a pro—no egos, just better work. If you're a creative visionary with a passion for storytelling through design and animation, we invite you to apply and be part of our journey toward delivering exceptional visual experiences.
