Concept Development and Design Leadership Lead the creative process from initial concept to final implementation for diverse interior design projects. Conduct client meetings to understand requirements, gather insights, and translate goals into actionable design briefs. Develop design concepts that incorporate space planning, color schemes, lighting, finishes, furnishings, and materials. Produce compelling visual presentations using mood boards, sketches, 3D renderings, and CAD drawings. Project Management Oversee multiple projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and other consultants to ensure design intent is fully realized. Prepare detailed schedules, budgets, and procurement plans. Monitor construction and installation processes to ensure adherence to design standards and quality expectations. Team Leadership and Mentoring Guide junior designers and interns by providing clear creative direction and constructive feedback. Facilitate collaborative brainstorming and encourage a culture of creativity and innovation within the team. Conduct regular design reviews and ensure team members stay aligned with project goals. Client Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process. Present design proposals and revisions with clarity and confidence. Offer solutions to design challenges, balancing client desires with functional and regulatory considerations. Technical Documentation Produce and oversee the creation of accurate technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details. Ensure compliance with local codes, accessibility standards, and building regulations. Collaborate with drafting teams to refine documentation sets and ensure readiness for construction. Vendor and Material Coordination Source furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with design vision and project constraints. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, materials, suppliers, and product innovations. Build and maintain relationships with vendors and manage procurement timelines. Quality Control Conduct site visits to inspect construction and installation quality. Troubleshoot design or implementation issues promptly and professionally. Ensure final installations align with original design intent and meet both client and industry standards.
