Job Posting for a Leading US based CPA FirmRole: Manager – Professional Standards & Audit QualityLocation: Goregaon - MumbaiExperience: 8+ years Timing: 12:30PM to 9:30PM IST (in office)What Work You Will be Responsible For:The Assurance Manager – Professional Standards & Audit Quality (India) supports the Assurance practice by strengthening audit quality, consistency, and scalability. The individual collaborates with Professional Standards Group (PSG) leadership and engagement teams to ensure that the team maintains the highest standards of quality, consistency, and innovation across the Assurance practice. Success in this role requires strong technical foundation in US GAAP, excellent organization, and the ability to drive multiple workstreams to completion.Major Responsibilities:Support the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing operations of the firm’s System of Quality Management (SoQM) and related quality initiatives (including alignment with applicable standards and firm policies).Support the firm’s inspection programs and monitoring activities (i.e., engagement quality review process), including planning support, file prep tools, internal review programs, deficiency tracking, and remediation action plans.Collaborate with stakeholders across PSG, Assurance leadership, and enabling functions (Learning & Development, Risk Management, Technology) to implement quality initiatives effectively, including adoption and follow-through.Support other PSG initiatives and the Firm’s commitment to the highest levels of quality.Preferred Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (advanced degree a plus).8+ years of relevant public accounting experience, with significant US GAAP exposure (directly and/o r in a US-facing offshore model).CA/CPA license (active) required.Significant experience with US GAAP, strong knowledge of US GAAS, AICPA auditing standards, and familiarity with PCAOB standards.Exceptional organizational and process design skills—able to build structure, manage dependencies, and drive multiple initiatives to completion with clear documentation and follow-up.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills (comfortable coordinating across teams/time zones and keeping work moving).Comfort working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities; able to operate independently and escalate appropriately.Working ConditionsAbility to work effectively with US-based stakeholders, as needed for key meetings, deadlines, and peak periods.Ability to sit for extended periods and work in a professional office or remote environment.Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently to communicate with team members and leadership.Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines with high attention to detail.Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations.Ability to move throughout office.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
