Risk & Finance Technology – VP, Data & Enterprise Services

Our client is a global investment firm delivering structured credit and asset-backed finance solutions across global markets. The firm is building a strong offshore analytics and systems capability to support Finance leadership.They are seeking a Risk & Finance Technology (VP, Data & Enterprise Services) to join their Mumbai-based Data & Enterprise Services team. This is a senior hands-on engineering role supporting technology delivery across both Finance Technology (Accounting, Treasury, GL) and Risk Technology (Market Risk, Credit Risk).The individual will work closely with both onshore and offshore technology teams across the Risk, Finance, and Data domains. The VP will contribute directly to requirements analysis, solution design, development, data engineering, testing, and production support, ensuring high-quality technical execution.The role requires strong hands-on technical skills in SQL, data processing, Python, .NET/C#, and UI development, along with deep knowledge of financial and risk data structures. This role is a senior engineer’s role - expected to deliver high-quality solutions with strong ownership and discipline.Primary ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality technical solutions as a senior individual contributor across Finance, Risk, and Enterprise Data domains.Work closely with onshore and offshore team members to analyze business requirements and design scalable, high-quality technical solutions.Perform hands-on SQL development, data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning across financial and risk datasets.Develop and maintain data pipelines, reconciliations, data quality controls, and reporting workflows.Build or enhance application components using .NET/C#, Python, or UI frameworks where needed to support Finance and Risk functions.Support integrations with Oracle ERP, treasury platforms, fund accounting systems, and risk data sources.Execute deep root-cause analysis for data and system issues and drive high-quality, timely resolutions.Participate in documentation, testing cycles, code review, and release processes with strong discipline.Contribute to automation, modernization, and process optimization across Finance and Risk technology areas.Required Qualifications and Experience10+ years of hands-on technology experience across Finance, Treasury, Risk Technology, or enterprise data environments.Expert SQL skills (Snowflake, SQL Server, or equivalent) including data modeling, analytics, and optimization.Experience with financial datasets (GL, journal entries, balance sheet, P&L, transaction data, cash flows).Experience with risk datasets (positions, exposures, sensitivities, risk factors).Hands-on development experience in .NET/C#, Python, or UI frameworks supporting financial or risk workflows.Experience with ETL/data pipelines, reconciliations, validation checks, and workflow/process automation.Experience integrating with systems such as Oracle ERP, treasury management systems, or fund accounting platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and quality.Ability to work effectively with distributed global teams in both onshore and offshore models.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.Preferred Qualifications and ExperienceExperience with cloud technologies such as Azure or Snowflake.Familiarity with market and credit risk systems, market data platforms, or risk analytics inputs.Finance domain experience (accounting, treasury, P&L, GL operations) is a strong plus.Interest in automation, optimization, and improving data quality and financial/risk workflows.Self-driven learner with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies and tools.Work Arrangement & LocationWork hours: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST (supporting a US-based firm)Work location: Client office in Goregaon, Mumbai (on-site presence required)Application ProcessInterested candidates are invited to apply with their CV.
