We pride ourselves on quality, speed, and strict compliance.The Role We are looking for an experienced UK Practice Specialist to lead our accounts finalisation and tax delivery team in Goa.This is a hands-on leadership position. You will act as the /"technical gatekeeper,/" taking ownership of complex files, finalizing statutory accounts, and overseeing tax filings before they reach the partners for sign-off. If you are a leader who can manage a team while still owning the technical end-to-end process, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesFinalisation Ownership: Take full responsibility for UK statutory accounts (FRS 102/105) across your client portfolio. You will review working papers, resolve complex accounting issues, and ensure all files are clean and sign-off ready.Compliance Delivery: Oversee and review UK Corporation Tax (CT600) and UK VAT returns (including MTD and reconciliations). You will also manage HMRC escalations and queries.Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and allocate work to our Goa-based accountants. You will enforce /"first-time-right/" standards and train the team to reduce rework.Client Management: Serve as the escalation point for technical queries. You will manage client expectations regarding records and timelines, communicating clearly with UK stakeholders.Process Improvement: Drive the efficient use of cloud tools (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext) and refine internal checklists to improve team speed and consistency.Must Have Qualified: You are ACCA, ACA (ICAEW), or CPA qualified (active membership preferred).Experienced: You have 7+ years of total experience, with at least 3+ years in a Manager or Team Lead role specifically within a UK-focused practice.Technical Expert: You have proven experience finalizing accounts under FRS 102/105 and managing UK Corp Tax and VAT controls.Tech Savvy: You have strong working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks and data capture tools like Dext/Hubdoc.Decisive Leader: You have high standards, can resolve issues quickly, and remain calm under deadline pressure.Communicator: You possess excellent English communication skills suitable for UK client interaction.Why Join Alliance Street?Work in a key leadership role with a global outlook.Direct interaction with UK clients and partners.Opportunity to shape quality standards and lead a growing team.
