The consultant will use their knowledge of business processes and Dynamics 365 to identify software gaps (gap/fit analysis) and suggest “best industry” practices and alternatives. As part of the project team, the Functional Consultant will write development specifications and interface with key users/ GPO throughout the lifecycle of the project to resolve issues that may arise.YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO: 1. Strategy, Solution Design & DeliveryWork closely with business and functional teams to translate business needs into system strategies, features, and functional solutions within Dynamics 365 Finance.Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of Dynamics 365 enhancements, including customizations, integrations, workflows, and financial data management.Lead end-to-end solution delivery while adhering to established systems development and maintenance methodologies.Ensure alignment of D365 Finance solutions with global business processes, industry best practices, and organizational strategic goals.2. D365 Environment Management & GovernanceManage and maintain all D365 Finance environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD), ensuring stability, version control, and proper deployment practices.Coordinate environment refreshes, release cycles, service updates, and regression testing to minimize business disruption.Maintain oversight of D365 service providers, ensuring they meet SLAs, deliver quality service, and support system optimization.Establish and maintain governance standards for solution architecture, integrations, and data integrity across all environments.3. Compliance, Security & SoDManage D365 Finance security model, including creation, modification, and optimization of security roles, duties, and privileges.Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards across all finance modules.Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) reviews and remediation activities to mitigate security risks.Maintain documentation and logs to support audits, ensuring transparency and traceability of system changes.4. Testing, Training & User SupportDevelop functional scenario-based test scripts and create test data to support SIT and UAT cycles.Facilitate UAT execution, manage defect resolution, and ensure acceptance criteria are fully met.Conduct end-user training sessions, create user guides, and develop process documentation to improve system adoption.Provide guidance, mentorship, and best-practice recommendations to end-users to ensure optimal use of Dynamics 365 Finance.5. Continuous Improvement & InnovationStay up-to-date with new Dynamics 365 Finance and Power Platform features, capabilities, and roadmap updates.Proactively recommend improvements and introduce innovative capabilities using the Microsoft ecosystem (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) to increase end-user productivity.Champion adoption of standardized global processes and support the long-term evolution of the D365 Finance platformKEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Works closely with the Envu Finance teamWorks with D365 PartnersInteract with suppliers whose products interface with D365Works with management to gather reporting requirements.ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE? Main requirements:Education & Professional BackgroundBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.Professional finance qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA (preferred).·ExperienceMinimum 6–10 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).Proven experience across multiple finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Project Accounting, Costing, etc.).Strong experience in system configuration, functional design, and working with developers on customizations/integrations.Demonstrated experience managing D365 environments, release cycles, deployments, and regression testing.Experience working with security roles, duties, privileges, SoD compliance, and audit requirements.Practical exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).Experience working in a global organization with multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-region finance processes.Experience in project delivery, stakeholder management, and handling cross-functional initiatives.Envu is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants, regardless of ethnicity, color, race, religion, origin, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other conditions.
