Job Title: DGM Finance Job Summary: The Deputy General Manager (Finance) will oversee the financial health of the organization, ensuring robust compliance, accurate reporting, and effective financial planning. The role demands a blend of technical accounting expertise, strong leadership, and strategic foresight to support business growth in the dynamic music and entertainment industry. Key Responsibilities: Ensure IND AS compliance through preparation and review of financial statements. Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts aligned with business objectives. Manage cash flow efficiently, including preparation of cash flow statements and forecasts. Oversee book closure and preparation of statutory financial statements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of income tax and GST provisions and ensure timely filing of returns. Act as the primary contact for statutory auditors, independently managing audit requirements. Ensure timely closure of statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, and any other audit as required. Lead processes related to inviting investments from investors and SOPs where required. Prepare and submit Group MIS reports. Keep staff updated on recent changes in tax laws and compliances through structured communication. Partner with senior management on strategic financial decisions. Support tax compliance, including return filings and adherence to applicable provisions. Supervise accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. Continuously refine the chart of accounts, establish accounting policies, and improve procedures as the company scales. Coordinate with the Company Secretary for ROC-related work. Drive process automation for improved efficiency and accuracy. Skills & Experience: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization. Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting software; exposure to SAP is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, investment processes, and statutory compliance. Prior experience in the music, media, or entertainment industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels. Passion for music and the business side of the industry.
