Job Description:

8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in insurance and financial services domain. MBA (Finance)/CA/any other equivalent professional degree. Strong understanding of insurance processes and products. Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance procedures (KYC, Sanction/Embargo, Ratings, etc.). Experience in data management and data governance initiatives. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing project delivery. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage scope, timelines, and resources effectively. Prior experience in creating, reviewing, or maintaining Statements of Work (SOWs). Strong analytical, problem-solving, writing and communication skills. Willingness to travel and ready to operate from other locations if required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) GOOD TO HAVE Familiarity with resource planning, effort estimation, and budgeting processes in project environments. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and industry best practices. Exposure to data governance tools and technologies, particularly those related to data quality, metadata management, business glossary, and data lineage. Leading & coordinating with tech team on projects related to data platform development and business roll out. Good understanding on Data Lake/Data Warehouse. Proven experience in overseeing requirement gathering, user story creation and FSD drafting. Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and metrics, with the ability to guide teams. Experience in SQL, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms. Ability to work in multi-tasking and multi-client environments while meeting deadlines. Experience with OneStream or similar data consolidation platforms. Responsibilities: The Insurance Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging business and data management functions to drive data governance initiatives within the insurance sector. The responsibilities will include: Lead end-to-end project management and delivery oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring regular communication, issue resolution, and progress updates. Drive resource allocation, task prioritization, and monitoring of project deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes. Supporting data governance initiatives, including data quality improvement, metadata management, and regulatory compliance. Mapping business requirements to data governance frameworks and ensuring alignment with organizational data strategies. Reviewing impact analysis for data-related changes and supporting regulatory reporting requirements. Participating in business development activities and contributing to thought leadership in insurance data governance and management. Engage with business units to understand current state assessments and business requirements. Facilitate walkthroughs of AS-IS and TO-BE processes with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in. Oversee the automation and consolidation of data submissions for frameworks. Oversee business readiness execution phases, ensuring the successful transition from manual to automated data processes. Design and document business process models and control documents (SOPs) for efficient data management. Coordinate with testing teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of data platform functionalities.
