Job Description: SAP BODS to Striim Migration EngineerLocation: Gurgaon/BangaloreExperience Level: 4–7 years (or as required)About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Data Integration Engineer to support the transformation and migration of SAP BODS jobs into the Striim platform. The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding existing BODS ETL logic, translating it into Striim pipelines, and ensuring accurate delivery into Google BigQuery. The engineer will work closely with architects and functional leads to finalize staging (STG) and curated target objects using Composer.ResponsibilitiesSAP BODS Job Analysis (Good to have) Traverse and analyze existing SAP BODS ETL jobs.Understand mappings, transformations, dataflows, workflows, and embedded logic.Document business rules and technical logic from BODS job components.Striim Job Development Convert BODS logic into Striim pipelines.Build and configure data ingestion, transformation, and streaming/CDC flows in Striim.Optimize Striim applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.Target BigQuery Implementation Design and implement target objects in Google BigQuery.Develop and validate BigQuery PL/SQL scripts.Ensure accurate mapping of source-to-staging (STG) and staging-to-curated (CURA/Target) layers.Composer & Data Pipeline Orchestration Use Composer (GCP) for pipeline scheduling, orchestration, and dependency management.Collaborate with the architecture team to finalize STG → Curated object models.Collaboration & Quality Assurance Work with data architects, SMEs, and QA teams to validate end-to-end pipelines.Perform unit testing, integration testing, and migration validation.Troubleshoot issues related to performance, data quality, or pipeline failures. Qualifications3–7 years of experience working in data integration/ETL.Hands-on experience in any ETL modernization or cloud data migration project preferred.Required SkillsCore Technical Skills SAP BODS (Basic Level - Good to have): Ability to navigate and analyze jobs, dataflows, workflows, transforms.Understand ETL components and business logic extraction.Striim (Strong Proficiency): Building real-time or batch ingestion pipelines.Implementing transformations, adapters, and custom logic.Familiarity with Striim dashboards, monitoring, and deployment.BigQuery (Good Working Knowledge): Writing and optimizing PL/SQL / SQL queries.Developing staging and curated layers following data modeling guidelines.GCP Composer (Nice to Have / Required depending on project needs): Workflow/schedule orchestration experience (Airflow-based).Additional Skills Understanding of data warehousing principles.Experience migrating ETL processes between platforms is a plus.Knowledge of CDC pipelines is a bonus.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret complex logic and convert it to new-generation platforms.
