Job Title: Monitoring Engineer Duration: 6 months starts with possibility for extension Location: India (Remote) Local IST working hours Introduction: We are seeking a skilled Monitoring Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our IT infrastructure through effective monitoring solutions. The Monitoring Engineer will play a pivotal role in proactively identifying system issues, optimizing monitoring frameworks, and supporting seamless migration initiatives. This position directly impacts the organization's operational efficiency and service continuity. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions to track system health, performance, and availability. Manage and optimize monitoring platforms, primarily LogicMonitor and Zabbix, to ensure accurate and timely alerts. Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement in infrastructure performance. Lead and support migration projects related to monitoring systems, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime. Collaborate with IT operations, development, and support teams to define monitoring requirements and resolve incidents swiftly. Develop and maintain documentation for monitoring configurations, processes, and best practices. Continuously evaluate and integrate new monitoring tools and technologies to enhance system observability. Provide training and support to team members on monitoring tools and methodologies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Monitoring Engineer or in a similar role. Proven expertise with LogicMonitor and Zabbix monitoring platforms. Experience in managing monitoring system migrations and upgrades. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, networks, databases, and applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. Relevant certifications in monitoring tools or IT infrastructure management will be an advantage.
