As an Automation Engineer at Solo Work Inc., you will design, build, deploy, and operate AI-powered automation systems that replace manual workflows with reliable, production-grade automation.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing complex automation workflows, integrating AI/LLMs into decision-making pipelines, managing deployments and infrastructure, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating closely with product and engineering leadership to evolve the platform.This role sits at the intersection of automation, DevOps, and AI systems.QualificationsStrong experience designing and troubleshooting automation workflows using tools such as n8n or similar platforms (Make, Zapier, Temporal, custom orchestrators)Solid DevOps and deployment experience, including:Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)Docker and containerized servicesCI/CD pipelines and environment managementBackend development experience (Node.js, Python, or similar)Deep technical understanding of AI/LLMs, including:Prompting and context managementAPI-based model integrationCost, latency, and reliability tradeoffsAbility to debug and operate production systemsStrong problem-solving skills and systems thinkingComfortable working independently in a fast-moving, evolving environmentNice to have:Experience with Redis, queues, or event-driven architecturesDeep experience with vector databases and AI-agent architecturesPrior experience building internal automation platforms or AI-first systems
