SME - Generative AI Foundations

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-orientedSubject Matter Expert (SME)to develop high-quality assessment items for aCCS Generative AI Foundations certificationcourse . The SME will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to create clear, standards-aligned assessment items that help students master key generative AI concepts and practices and succeed on the certification exam.An ideal candidate should possess expertise in the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Their Applications, Prompt Engineering and Effective AI Interactions, Ethical and Responsible AI Use, Generative AI in Workplace and Industry Scenarios, and Limitations, Bias, and Risks of AI SystemsKey Responsibilities:Subject Matter Expertise: Develop accurate, relevant, and high-quality assessment items aligned with the certification’s learning objectives. Ensure assessment items reflect the appropriate Bloom’s Taxonomy level and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) standards. Instructional Design: Ensure that questions, examples, and scenarios directly support the stated learning objectives. Suggest revisions to improve clarity, engagement, and instructional validity. Validate that terminology, context, and problem-solving tasks reflect authentic AI use cases and industry practices. Provide realistic workplace and industry scenarios to support applied learning and skill transfer. Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate with instructional designers, the client’s educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful. Revise content based on feedback from the team. Work as a productive team member as part of a global, cross-functional team.Qualifications:Required: Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI tools, and applications. Prior experience in assessment design, test development, or curriculum development. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner for diverse learners. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (puter Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Education). Preferred: Hands-on experience using generative AI platforms and tools (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL·E, Bard, Claude, or similar). Experience working within the K–12 education sector or with adult/workforce training, particularly in curriculum design or content review. Familiarity with instructional design principles, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and competency-based assessments. Certification in CCS Generative AI Foundations or another AI/ML-related credential.Skills and Attributes Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to connect AI theory with practical applications. Excellent writing and editing abilities for technical and non-technical audiences. Creative problem-solving and instructional innovation. Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
