Job Description:
The Telecom Administrator is responsible for enterprise voice infrastructure, PBX migration, and telecom lifecycle operations across cloud, datacenter, and branch environments. This role focuses on Cisco Webex Calling, Cisco CUBE SIP integration, multi-vendor PBX transitions, and telecom modernization initiatives. This position supports acquisitions, ensures spam mitigation, and maintains reliable voice connectivity across a distributed enterprise. Key Responsibilities - Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Webex Calling environments - Integrate Cisco CUBE SIP gateways for voice migrations - Support multi-vendor PBX transitions to Webex - Manage call routing, auto attendants, hunt groups, dial plans, and provisioning - Coordinate number porting and carrier cutovers - Design and troubleshoot SIP trunk architecture - Maintain voicemail, fax, and call recording integrations - Monitor call quality and voice performance - Apply spam mitigation techniques and STIR/SHAKEN standards - Work with carriers to manage call reputation and spam issues - Support branch onboarding and M&A integrations - Maintain telecom inventory, documentation, and vendor records - Perform platform upgrades and controlled change management - Participate in maintenance windows and outage response Required Qualifications - Enterprise VoIP administration experience - Cisco Webex or Cisco UC platform experience - Hands-on Cisco CUBE SIP configuration - Experience migrating multi-vendor PBX environments - Strong understanding of SIP architecture and voice routing - Knowledge of STIR/SHAKEN and spam mitigation practices - Advanced troubleshooting in line voice environments - Experience coordinating with telecom carriers - Ability to work independently during migrations or outages Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Mitel, Avaya, Cisco, or other enterprise PBX platforms - Experience with cloud PBX environments - Familiarity with firewall/QoS concepts impacting voice - Exposure to WAN/SD-WAN environments supporting VoIP - Experience with acquisition integration projects - Telecom certifications or Cisco collaboration certifications Key Traits - Calm under pressure - Detail-oriented and methodical - Strong vendor coordination skills - Fast learner in multi-vendor environments - Documentation driven - Ownership mentality - Collaborative communicator
