Principal Data Architect – Azure Fabric & Data Platform Location: Remote (Offshore) Job type: Full time or Contract Shift time: 02:00 to 11:00 PM IST Job Summary: We are seeking a Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of an enterprise data platform on Microsoft Fabric. This role will drive end-to-end migration, define architecture standards, and enable advanced analytics and AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Define and own enterprise data architecture on Azure Fabric - Lead migration strategy from SQL Server to Fabric - Establish best practices for PySpark, pipelines, and performance optimization - Design scalable lakehouse and data models for enterprise analytics - Enable ML/AI integration into production workflows - Partner with business stakeholders to align data strategy - Lead and mentor engineering teams - Define data governance, security, and lineage frameworks - Evaluate and implement data platform tools and technologies Required Skills: - 10–15+ years in data engineering/architecture - Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Platform / Databricks - Strong hands-on experience with PySpark - Proven experience in large-scale data migrations (on-prem to cloud) - Expertise in modern data architecture (Lakehouse, Medallion) - Strong experience with Power BI and enterprise reporting - Experience in ML/AI model deployment - Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
