Legal Department Lead (Power Sector)

A leading player in India’s thermal power space is looking for an experienced legal professional to support its Power Business operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end litigation across Civil, Commercial, Criminal, Environmental, Mining, Labour, Property & Land matters Independently handle labour, land and commercial disputes, including recovery proceedings through counsel engagement Develop and drive litigation strategy aligned with business objectives, including dispute minimization and cost optimization initiatives Coordinate closely with external counsels, solicitors, and regulatory authorities for effective case resolution Ensure statutory compliance across environmental, mining, industrial, labour & tax laws Draft and vet MoUs, LoIs, contracts, pleadings, affidavits and other legal documentation Provide strategic legal advisory to safeguard business interests and enable smooth operationsKey Requirements: LLB with 16–20 years’ experience with proven experience in the Indian Power sector Strong expertise in regulatory and compliance frameworks Proven leadership and stakeholder management skillsIf this aligns with your experience or someone in your network, feel free to apply or share your profile directly at tanya@
