Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning: Forecasting: Develop and manage detailed production forecasts based on customer orders, historical data, and market trends to ensure optimal inventory and production schedules. Production Schedule: Create, monitor, and adjust the production schedule based on demand, raw material availability, and manufacturing capacity. Resource Allocation: Coordinate the availability of manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production targets. Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Ensure the accurate and timely procurement of materials required for production, minimizing downtime due to material shortages. Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity and recommend adjustments to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with production goals. 2. Production Control: Process Monitoring: Track production progress and ensure that timelines, quality standards, and budgets are adhered to. Cost Control: Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues impacting production schedules, quality, or efficiency. Act as a liaison between production teams, management, and suppliers to solve operational challenges. Production Reporting: Prepare and submit regular production performance reports, identifying key metrics such as throughput, downtime, and resource utilization. 3. Continuous Improvement: Lean Manufacturing: Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and streamline operations. Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize production processes, equipment utilization, and workforce efficiency. Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for production and work closely with other departments to improve them. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct investigations into production delays or quality issues, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures. 4. Team Leadership & Development: Team Supervision: Manage and supervise a team of production planners, analysts, and coordinators, ensuring efficient workflow and communication. Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to improve their technical and leadership skills. Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, sales, and logistics to ensure alignment of production goals. 5. Inventory Management: Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock is sufficient to meet production demands without overstocking. Stock Replenishment: Oversee timely replenishment of raw materials and finished goods to prevent production delays. 6. Compliance & Safety: Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Safety Protocols: Promote a culture of safety within the production environment by implementing safety measures, conducting safety audits, and addressing potential risks. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred). Experience: 10+ years of experience in production planning and control, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP systems, and production scheduling. Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across departments and with external partners. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt). Experience in a similar industry (e.g., automotive, consumer goods, electronics, etc.). Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques such as Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Interested candidates can fill below mentioned google form.
