Hull Thickness / UTG Thickness Survey Inspector

Job Title: Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Inspector/Surveyor Location: PAN IndiaCompany: BlastCorr India Pvt. Ltd.Job Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: ₹25,000 to 30000 per month plus site allowance Job Purpose:To carry out ultrasonic thickness gauging (UTG) and hull structure measurements on ships, offshore structures, and industrial assets, ensuring compliance with class, statutory, and client requirements.Key Responsibilities:Perform hull thickness gauging (UTG) on ships, offshore platforms, tanks, and structures using approved ultrasonic equipment.Record and report thickness measurements in accordance with class society and client formats.Interpret UTG data to assess corrosion levels, material wastage, and structural integrity.Assist in hull condition surveys, dry dock inspections, and in-service inspections.Ensure inspection activities comply with safety regulations and company quality procedures.Maintain calibration records and ensure proper functioning of UTG equipment.Prepare detailed inspection reports with sketches, tables, and photographs.Coordinate with surveyors, shipyard staff, and clients during inspection work.Qualifications & Skills:Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or related engineering discipline (preferred).Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level II (as per ASNT, PCN, ISO 9712, or equivalent).Prior experience in ship hull surveys, offshore inspections, or industrial UTG measurement.Familiarity with IACS class society requirements (DNV, LR, ABS, BV, etc.).Good technical reporting and communication skills.Ability to work in shipyards, onboard vessels, and offshore environments.Strong safety awareness.Preferred Experience:2–5 years of experience in UTG measurement for ships/offshore structures.Knowledge of other NDT methods (MPI, DPI, Radiography, Coating Inspection) is an added advantage.Offshore survival and safety training (BOSIET, HUET) for offshore assignments.Typical Employers:Ship survey companiesClassification societies (IACS members)Shipyards and dry docksOffshore inspection contractorsNDT/Inspection service providers Interested please share your CV to only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
