CHEF D’CUISINE – LUXURY 5 STAR LODGE | NEAR KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Chef D’Cuisine to lead the kitchen at a luxury 5-star lodge near Kruger National Park. This live-in role is ideal for a culinary professional with flair, creativity, and strong leadership skills, capable of managing a kitchen brigade of approximately 40 staff members. Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (Live-in, DOE) Benefits: 1-bedroom unit, Medical Aid (50/50 Contribution), Pension ROLE OVERVIEW The Chef D’Cuisine is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, creating exceptional culinary experiences, and ensuring the smooth running of a large kitchen team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead, manage, and mentor a kitchen brigade of around 40 staff members • Plan, create, and execute menus in line with the lodge’s culinary standards • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes • Ensure kitchen hygiene, safety, and proper maintenance of equipment • Manage inventory, stock control, and ordering of supplies • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery • Innovate and introduce seasonal and special menus to enhance guest experiences CANDIDATE PROFILE • Previous experience as a Chef D’Cuisine or Executive Chef in luxury hospitality • Strong leadership and team management skills • Creativity, flair, and passion for fine dining • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards • Experience managing large kitchen teams and complex operations KEY ATTRIBUTES • Professional, organized, and reliable • Hands-on approach with excellent time management • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
