Database Consultant

We are looking for a Database Migration Expert specializing in Oracle and SQL Server migrations to multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) across both IaaS and PaaS services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in database migration strategy, design, and execution, along with expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to modernize and optimize deployments. This role requires not only strong technical skills in database administration and automation but also forward-looking capabilities in exploring AI/ML-driven automation for next-generation DBA responsibilities.Key Responsibilities: • Assess existing on-premises environments and design migration roadmaps aligned with business goals. • Collaborate with cloud architects, application owners, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise workloads. • Lead and execute end-to-end migrations of Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS, Azure, and GCP (IaaS and PaaS). • Design, implement, and manage cloud-native and hybrid database architectures. • Develop and manage IaC templates (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation) for scalable, repeatable, and secure cloud database provisioning. • Ideate, Innovate & automate DBA tasks, workflows, proactive monitoring, anomaly detection & and self-healing systems using Python and PowerShell. • Explore & apply AI/ML techniques to further automate and optimize DBA tasks and database operations. • Provide SME guidance on cloud-native database adoption, modernization strategies, and cost optimization. • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices for database deployments.Required Skills: • Proven experience migrating Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS, Azure, and GCP (IaaS/PaaS). • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automation. • Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, high availability, and performance tuning in cloud environments. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work in cross-functional global teams. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.Preferred: • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or Oracle/SQL Server certifications. • Join our team to drive innovation and efficiency in multi-cloud database migrations and automation! • Experience in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.). • Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized database solutions. • Experience/Knowledge with AI/ML frameworks and their application in database automation.
