Job Title: AI Architect (Data Engineering Background)Location: India (Remote)Type: ContractRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced AI Architect with a strong Data Engineering background to design and build scalable, production-grade AI and Machine Learning solutions.The ideal candidate should have evolved from a Data Engineering role into AI/ML architecture, with hands-on experience in building end-to-end data pipelines and deploying AI models in enterprise environments.This role requires a deep understanding of data platforms, distributed systems, and AI/ML frameworks, along with the ability to architect solutions that integrate data and AI seamlessly.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement end-to-end AI/ML architectures (data ingestion → processing → modeling → deployment)Architect scalable data pipelines and data platforms to support AI use casesBuild and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions in production environmentsDefine data architecture, storage strategies, and data flow design (batch & real-time)Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutionsEnsure data quality, governance, and performance optimization across pipelinesLead architecture discussions and provide technical direction on AI initiativesEvaluate and implement tools/frameworks for model training, deployment, and monitoringDesign secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AI systems on cloud platformsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in Data Engineering (ETL, Data Pipelines, Data Lakes/Warehousing)Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and distributed data processing (Spark, etc.)Proven experience in Machine Learning / AI system design and deploymentExperience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.)Exposure to Generative AI / LLM-based solutions is highly preferredStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)Experience with tools like Databricks, MLflow, Airflow, Kafka or similarUnderstanding of model lifecycle management (MLOps)Experience designing real-time and batch data processing systemsStrong system design and architecture skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in building enterprise-scale AI platformsKnowledge of LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, or agent-based systemsExperience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworksPrior experience in a lead/architect role
