This is a strongly design-oriented role—covering concept to tender/IFC drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQ support, and multi-discipline coordination—along with execution-stage technical support to ensure the design intent is implemented correctly.HVAC Design: heat load calculations, system selection, equipment sizing, ducting design, chilled water/piping layouts, ventilation strategy, indoor air quality approachElectrical Design: load estimation, single line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, earthing & lightning protection coordination, basic protection philosophy (as applicable)Plumbing Design: water supply, drainage, storm water, pump sizing concept, fixture planning and routingFire Protection / Firefighting: fire water demand concept, pump room coordination, sprinklers/hydrants layouts, fire compliance coordination with authorities/consultantsELV / Low Voltage (coordination): CCTV, access control, public address, data/voice pathways coordinationKey ResponsibilitiesLead MEP design development from Concept → Schematic → Design Development → Tender/IFC, including drawings, design narratives, and specificationsPrepare and review MEP layouts, schematics, risers, and coordination drawings (AutoCAD mandatory; Revit MEP/BIM advantage)Produce and validate design inputs: heat load / ventilation calculations, equipment selection basis, preliminary sizing, and coordination requirementsEnsure compliance with relevant codes/standards, including:NBC (National Building Code of India) and applicable IS codesECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code) for energy-efficiency compliance and HVAC performance intentASHRAE standards commonly referenced for ventilation, comfort, and energy designExposure to Dubai Building Code / Dubai Municipality / Gulf codes is a strong plus (international project experience)Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, and other consultants to resolve interfaces, shaft planning, plant room layouts, and site constraintsReview shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to maintain alignment with design intentSupport site teams with RFIs, clarifications, and issue-resolution during executionAssist in BOQ preparation, design-based quantity checks, and value engineering (without compromising compliance/performance)Conduct periodic site visits for design compliance, quality observations, and coordination closureMust-Have SkillsStrong working knowledge of HVAC design and MEP integration (electrical/plumbing/fire protection coordination)Proficiency in AutoCAD for MEP (mandatory)Working understanding of ASHRAE concepts used in design (ventilation/comfort/energy intent) and an ECBC-aligned design approachFamiliarity with NBC + IS codes, authority coordination basics, and typical approval expectationsStrong coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills (design office + site interface)Preferred (Increases Shortlisting Odds)Revit MEP / BIM coordination experience (Navisworks/clash coordination is a plus)Experience on institutional / healthcare / commercial / mixed-use projectsExposure to design tools (any): HAP / TRACE / equivalent load tools, DIALux (lighting), ETAP (electrical studies)Ability to manage multiple projects and guide junior engineers/draftsmen (Senior role)PreferenceImmediate joiners preferred (not mandatory)How to ApplyEmail your updated CV to careers@ with subject line:MEP Design_Please mention in the email:1.
