Solid understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous programming, and event-driven systems Strong experience in database design and optimization using MongoDB and PostgreSQL/ SQL databases Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, role-based access) Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured backend code Experience handling high-volume data, background jobs, and API performance optimizationResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js Build scalable and secure RESTful and/or microservice-based architectures Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and error-handling mechanisms Optimize API performance, database queries, and server-side logic Integrate third-party services and internal systems Write unit tests, logging, and monitoring for backend services Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver production-ready featuresQualifications2–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js Strong experience with Express.js / Good to have FastAPI/Flask Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Good to have Experience using ORM/ODM tools such as Sequelize, Prisma, TypeORM, or Mongoose Familiarity with Git and version control workflows Exposure to Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
