Science Facilitator

Position Summary AIMEE International School is dedicated to providing a stimulating and inquiry-driven education. We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative General Science Teacher for primary grades who is passionate about fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based teaching. Responsibilities: Inquiry-Based Instruction: Foster a culture of curiosity and critical thinking through an inquiry-based teaching approach. Design and implement hands-on experiments and activities to promote a deeper understanding of scientific principles. Assessment and Feedback: Develop and administer assessments to gauge students' understanding of scientific concepts. Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering continuous improvement and growth . Integration with Technology: Integrate age-appropriate technology tools and resources to enhance the inquiry-based learning experience. Explore innovative ways to use technology in scientific instruction to facilitate understanding and application. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-disciplinary connections and integrate science with other subjects. Share insights and strategies related to inquiry-based teaching with fellow educators. Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in scientific education and inquiry-based teaching methodologies. Engage in ongoing professional development to continuously enhance teaching practices. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Life Science, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred. Proven experience in teaching General Science at the elementary school level, with a focus on inquiry-based methodologies. Familiarity with the integration of technology in elementary scientific instruction. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Personal Attributes Passionate about fostering a love for science through inquiry-based teaching. Creative and adaptable to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of young students.
