About the jobAbout SukoonSukoon Health is building India's first specialized chain of hospitals to cater to acute and severe mental health conditions.We plan to set up 1000 beds across 40 units for adult, acute inpatient care across India. Additionally, we have aspirations to expand into specialized segments of de-addiction, child development disabilities, dementia care, etc.About the roleAs the Lead Nurse at our Psychiatry Center, you will assume a vital role in the development and implementation of educational programs for the nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and promoting high-quality patient care. This role combines leadership in clinical nursing and education to ensure that the nursing team possesses the knowledge, skills, and competence necessary to provide top-tier care to patients with mental health needs.Key Responsibilities:Educational Program Development:•Develop, implement, and update nursing education programs and curricula specific to psychiatric nursing.•Stay abreast of best practices, evidence-based nursing, and educational strategiesStaff Training and Development:•Conduct assessments of nursing staff learning needs and tailor educational programs accordingly.•Lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance clinical and behavioral health skills.Mentoring and Leadership:•Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff in their professional development.•Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and excellence.Clinical Competency Assessment:•Develop and oversee competency assessments for nursing staff to ensure clinical proficiency.•Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted training.Documentation and Evaluation:•Maintain detailed records of staff training and competency assessments.•Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make improvements as necessary.Interdisciplinary Collaboration:•Work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure that nursing education aligns with patient care goals.•Facilitate communication between nursing and other departments.Quality Improvement:•Identify opportunities for quality improvement in nursing care and education.•Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.•Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.•Minimum of 6 years of clinical nursing experience.•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.•Familiarity with educational technologies and e-learning platforms. •Advanced degrees or certifications in psychiatric nursing or education.•Experience working in a mental health or psychiatric care setting.
