Job Title: Zscaler Security Engineer Location: Remote (Offshore) Contract Type: Contract Job Description REQUIRED SKILLS Submittal Requirements 3-5 Must Haves (need to be highlighted in sizzle & present on resume) - 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Zscaler platforms - Experience performing security reviews and remediation work - Zscaler certifications (ZIA, ZPA, ZCCA, ZCSE) strongly preferred - Experience integrating Zscaler with AD, IAM, and networks Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly technical Zscaler Security Engineer to perform review-and-remediate work across the Zscaler cloud security platform. This role emphasizes best-practice assessments, configuration cleanup, architectural rationalization, and execution of remediation plans. The engineer will partner with vendors and internal teams to improve Zscaler posture, remediate technical debt, and ensure secure, intentional access models. A key outcome of this role is structured knowledge transfer to the internal run team to enable long-term operational ownership. Key Responsibilities · Perform Zscaler best-practice reviews in collaboration with the vendor and internal stakeholders · Review, remediate, and optimize URL filtering, access, and security policies to enable secure, frictionless access — including reliable support for AI-enabled sites and services. · Rationalize Zscaler App Connectors to ensure correct placement, scale, and resiliency · Conduct in-depth Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) reviews and improvements · Review integration with Active Directory, IAM, and enterprise network infrastructure · Plan and execute Tunnel 2 upgrades · Review, remediate, and optimize URL filtering, access, and security policies to enable secure, frictionless access — including reliable support for AI-enabled sites and services. · Document configurations, architectural decisions, and remediation outcomes · Provide structured knowledge transfer to the internal run team, including documentation and walkthroughs · Work closely with network, identity, and application teams to validate secure access requirements and remove unnecessary access Required Skills & Experience · 3+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler platforms (ZIA and/or ZPA) · Demonstrated experience performing security platform reviews and remediation work · Strong understanding of zero-trust access models, cloud security, and identity-aware networking · Experience with Zscaler App Connectors, access policies, and traffic flows · Proven ability to analyze existing configurations and drive cleanup and rationalization efforts · Experience integrating Zscaler with Active Directory, IAM, and enterprise networks Preferred Qualifications · Zscaler certifications (ZIA, ZPA, ZCCA, ZCSE) · Experience supporting global manufacturing environments · Experience with large-scale or global Zscaler deployments · Background working in regulated or high-security enterprise environments What We’re Looking For · A hands-on engineer focused on review, remediation, and measurable improvement · Someone who prioritizes intentional design and cleanup over lift-and-shift configurations · A security-first mindset focused on least-privilege access · Strong documentation and communication skills to support knowledge transfer to run teams
