AI / ML Engineer

Job Description:Med-X is seeking an AI / ML Engineer to strengthen its core engineering team with a strong understanding of technical systems and the ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge in AI, System Integrations, and related cloud concepts, along with excellent documentation and technical skills.Responsibilities:Design and Develop: Build and deploy sophisticated agentic workflows using LangChain and LangGraph.System Architecture: Design stateful, cyclic AI graphs that handle complex task decomposition and tool-use.Model Optimization: Select, fine-tune, and prompt-engineer both frontier (GPT-4, Claude 3.5, Gemini 1.5) and open-source LLMs (Llama 3, Mistral).Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and scale AI services on [AWS / GCP / Azure] using containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.Evaluation and Observability: Implement robust evaluation frameworks (like RAGAS or LangSmith) to track agent performance, latency, and cost.Technical Qualifications:Experience: 3+ years in a professional AI / ML or Software Engineering role.LLM Orchestration: Proven track record with LangChain and specifically LangGraph for building stateful agents.Agentic Frameworks: Deep understanding of ReAct patterns, tool calling, and multi-agent collaboration.Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Pydantic) and asynchronous programming.Cloud and DevOps: Experience with cloud-native ML tools (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus).Preferred Startup Traits:Product Mindset: You care more about solving the user's problem than the complexity of the math.Speed: You prefer shipping a good solution today over a perfect one next month.Ownership: You are comfortable managing the full lifecycle - from data ingestion to production monitoring.
