Test Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedTest Engineerwith a strong background inAPI testing (manual and automation) . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with popular testing tools and frameworks, CI/CD practices, and be comfortable working in Agile environments. This role involves validating backend services, automating API tests, and ensuring the overall quality of applications through consistent testing efforts. Key Responsibilities: Performmanual API testingusing Postman to validate functionality, reliability, and performance. Automate API testing usingRestAssuredorPlaywrightfor faster regression and continuous validation. Design and document test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements. Log, track, and manage bugs usingJIRAorAzure DevOpsand collaborate with development teams for resolution. Build and manage test automation pipelines usingJenkinsintegrated within CI/CD workflows. UseVisual StudioorVS Codeas primary IDEs to develop and maintain automation scripts. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Ensure complete test coverage and conduct smoke, sanity, regression, and integration testing. Provide detailed test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency inAPI testing , both manual (Postman) and automated (RestAssured, Playwright). Experience withJIRA ,Azure DevOps , and other test management tools. Strong understanding ofCI/CD pipelinesusing Jenkins. Good knowledge ofREST APIs ,HTTP methods , andJSON/XML formats . Familiarity withSDLC ,STLC , andAgilemethodologies. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Comfortable working inrotational shiftsand collaborating with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience inend-to-end automation framework developmentfor APIs. Exposure toweb UI automationtools or frameworks. Basic knowledge ofdatabasesandSQL queriesfor backend validation. Experience working on real-time applications in domains like e-commerce or finance.
