Job Title: Assistant General Manager – Project Manager (Wind)Function: Projects – WindExperience: 15–22 yearsReports To: Head – Wind ProjectsRole Summary:We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Project Manager (Wind) to lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind power projects across India. This is a strategic role based out of Mumbai HO, with frequent travel to project sites during critical phases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing multi-megawatt wind projects from concept to commissioning, including land acquisition coordination, EPC management, and site execution.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & ExecutionLead the complete lifecycle of wind project execution – from DPR, engineering coordination, procurement follow-ups, and site mobilization to COD.Develop detailed project execution plans and drive adherence to cost, time, and quality targets.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including land, engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction for smooth implementation.Track project milestones, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.Site Coordination & MonitoringFrequently travel to project locations to monitor construction progress, contractor performance, and quality.Address on-ground challenges such as terrain issues, access roads, equipment movement, and local clearances.Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards during execution.Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementInterface with turbine suppliers, EPC contractors, civil and electrical vendors for timely delivery and installation.Ensure project deliverables from vendors and contractors are as per contract and technical specifications.Resolve site-level conflicts and escalate bottlenecks in a structured manner.MIS & ReportingTrack and report project KPIs including schedule, cost, manpower, and equipment utilization.Prepare regular updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Support audit, compliance, and documentation as required.Preferred Candidate Profile:Education: B Tech Fulltime Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil).Experience: 18–22 years in project execution, with minimum 10+ years in Wind energy.Strong track record of delivering wind projects (100+ MW) across multiple Indian states.Proven leadership in managing multi-site teams, vendors, and cross-functional coordination.Willing to travel extensively and spend time at sites as per project needs.Knowledge of land acquisition processes and government approvals is a plus.Key Competencies:Project Management (Time, Cost, Quality control)Technical understanding of wind EPC packagesTeam & Stakeholder ManagementProblem-solving & Decision MakingCommunication & ReportingFlexibility to operate in HO and site-based roles
