Company Description An age-old astrology and gemstone-selling company – successfully running for over 30 years all over West Bengal. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a social media manager located in Kolkata. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and executing social media marketing strategies, optimising social media platforms (SMO), and creating content strategies. Day-to-day tasks include crafting and posting content, engaging with the audience, tracking social media metrics, and collaborating with other team members to ensure cohesive brand messaging. One of the most important/primary roles of the jobholder will be to communicate with the clients of the employer via email, WhatsApp or, occasionally, via phone calls. The job is based in Sodepur Kalitala, 2.5 km away from Tollygunge Metro Station. Accommodation will be provided, if needed and under special circumstances. Job timings – 10:00-19:30. Salary: 25000 rupees with the possibility of a raise after 6 months. Qualifications Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimisation (SMO) Strong communication in English and strong writing skills are mandatory. Experience in creating and implementing effective content strategies Ability to analyse social media metrics and adjust strategies as necessary Collaborative mindset and teamwork skills Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, science or a related field preferred
