Job Title: ITIL Asset & Configuration ManagerLocation: KolkataExperience: 8+ YearsInterview Mode: 2nd Round – Face-to-Face (Kolkata)Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced ITIL Asset & Configuration Manager to manage andgovern IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CMDB) processes. Therole focuses on ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and alignment with ITIL best practices tosupport efficient service delivery, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.Key Responsibilities:1. IT Asset Management (ITAM):● Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, and cloud assets).● Ensure accurate tracking of asset procurement, deployment, utilization, and retirement.● Optimize costs through effective asset utilization and license compliance.● Support audits, compliance checks, and financial reconciliation related to IT assets.2. Configuration Management (CMDB) Governance:● Own and manage the Configuration Management process aligned with ITIL standards.● Maintain accuracy and completeness of the CMDB across all Configuration Items (CIs).● Define CI models, relationships, and naming conventions.● Ensure integration with Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Asset Managementprocesses.3. Data Quality, Audits & Compliance:● Establish and enforce data quality standards for asset and configuration records.● Conduct regular audits and reconciliation activities.● Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and customer requirements.● Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.4. Process Governance & Continuous Improvement:● Define governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.● Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in ITAM and CMDB processes.● Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.5. Tools & Automation:● Manage and optimize ITSM/ITAM tools used for Asset and Configuration Management.● Drive automation in asset discovery, reconciliation, and reporting.● Ensure integration with monitoring, discovery, and financial systems.6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management:● Collaborate with Service Management, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Vendors.● Ensure vendor compliance with asset reporting and configuration requirements.● Act as a key advisor on asset and configuration risks and optimization opportunities.Key Skills & Competencies:● Strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management(CMDB)● Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC, HP, etc.)● Deep understanding of ITIL processes and service lifecycle● Strong analytical skills with high attention to data accuracy● Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills● Experience in governance, audits, and continuous improvementPreferred Qualifications:● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Business or equivalent● ITIL v4 certification (mandatory or strongly preferred)● Experience supporting audits and compliance initiativesAdditional Requirements:● Candidate must be willing to attend a face-to-face interview in Kolkata● Strong experience in Service Delivery Management is highly preferred
